She was predeceased by: her siblings, Nancy Ruth and Robert Willis Pope; and also Missy. She is survived by: her son Ralph Pope Melvin (Debbie) of Charlotte; her granddaughters, Elizabeth Perkis (Josh) of Charleston, S. C. and Jennifer Otten (Hal) of Charlotte, N. C.; her great grandchildren, Claudia Rose, Amelia Perkis, Will Otten and Preston Otten; and her sister Eleanor Pope Wilson of Raleigh. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
