She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Winton Sawyer and Wilma Marie Tillett Sawyer; her son Jeffrey Allen Jarvis; and her grandson Michael Allen Wells. She is survived by: her daughters, Jill Jarvis Reid (Wade) of Elizabeth City, NC and Julie Jarvis Byrd (Joe) of Zebulon, NC; her stepdaughter Amber; her grandchildren, Mary Catherine O'Donnell (Adam Roberts), Patrick Joseph O'Donnell (Kathryn), Jessica Alva Jarvis, Rachel Reid, Matthew Reid (Sarah) and Samuel Reid (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Tamara Marie O'Donnell, Makenzie Alisha Gaitor, Caydence Lynn Ellington, Henry Finch O'Donnell, Keller Fawkes O'Donnell, Sydney Ann Reid, Matthew Roberts, Landon Roberts, Lizzie Roberts and Avann Ellington; her brother Joseph W. Sawyer, Jr. of Carson City, NV; and her pet Honey. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
