He was predeceased by: his parents, William Douglas "Bill" Sr. and Ruth Evelyn Kight McPherson; his wife Dianne Matthews McPherson; and his brother C. H. McPherson. He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Powell (Lee) of South Mills; his brother Ronnie McPherson (Pam); and his sister-in-law Linda Weeks of Elizabeth City.
A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home (1125 Harvey Point Rd, Hertford, NC 27944). A reception was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
