She was predeceased by: her parents, Katie Lewis and William E. Turner, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Sergent Carl R. Boone; her grandchildren, Ava Boone and Chance Boone; her siblings, Margaret Harris (Colen) of Brooklyn, NY, Charlene Dunston (Elmer) of Elizabeth City, NC, Roland Turner of Elizabeth City, NC, Alvin Turner of Elizabeth City, NC and Law; and her friend Roger Jones of Elizabeth City, NC.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home (401 S Dyer St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. James A. M. E. Zion Church (911 Park St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
