She was predeceased by: her parents, William Asa Beals and Louie Ralph Beals; her spouse Dallas Harrell Gallop, Sr.; and her siblings, Hilda Schanding and Martin Fearing Beals.
She is survived by: her sons, Dallas Harrell Gallop, Jr. (Sherry) and William "Billy" T. Gallop; her grandchildren, Katherine and Bobby Cartwright; her nieces, Janet Oller and Michelle Hopkins; her great-nieces, Kim McKinniss (Don) and Hayley Weeks-Hopkins (Sandy); her nephew Dr. Martin Beals (Donna); and her brother-in-law William Warden (Linda).
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Twiford Funeral Homes (405 E Church St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A reception was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to First Christian Church, 800 Beech Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909 or Albemarle Area Medical Assistants, 106 Nancy Drive, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
