She was predeceased by: her father Harvey Wayne Baker; her brother Kenneth Baker; and her grandchild Dakotah. She is survived by: her mother Selma Ann Markham Baker; her spouse Laurence McGowan; her children, Laurence J. McGowan, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Springer, OK, Lauren McGowan (Paul) of Chesapeake, VA and Nicole Champion (Garrett) of Chesapeake, VA; her brothers, Michael Baker (Laurie) and Stephen Baker of Charleston, SC; and her grandchildren, Courtney, William, Katelynn, Kristian, Aaliyah, Winter and Kingston. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
