She is survived by: her children, Vera Griffin (Roy) of Elizabeth City, NC, Tawanda Etheridge of Paramus, NJ and Anthony Leathers (Marilyn) of Fayetteville, NC; her siblings, Waverly Knight of Elizabeth City, NC, Samuel K. Shaw, Jr. (Jeanette) of Waterbury, CT and Alvin Shaw of Camden, NC; and her sister-in-law Juanita Williams of Elizabeth City, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
