He is survived by: his mother Leocadia Canela; his wife Patricia Garcia Espinoza; his children, Damaris Mendez Garcia of Elizabeth City, NC, Daniel Garcia (Consuelo Castro) of Elizabeth City, NC and Miguel Angel Garcia, Jr. (Sarai Hernandez) of Elizabeth City, NC; and his grandchildren, Jaime, Jonathan, Ashley, Ulises, Brian, Jaislyn, Isaac and Axel. He is also survived by four sisters and five brothers.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Twiford Funeral Homes (405 E Church St, Elizabeth City, NC 27907). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
