He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Parker and Doris Lassiter Parker; and his siblings, Yvonne and O'Neal. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Bettie Jean Jones Parker; his child Mayor of Elizabeth City; his wife Bettie; his children, Marcel and Endi (Matthew); his grandchildren, Chantelle, Dayonna and Sydney; and his siblings, Pecolia, Patricia, Barbara (Johnny), Charlotte, Cornell (Viola), Dwight and Glenn (Sandra). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beach River Funeral Home (310 E Grice St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Beach River Chapel (310 E Grice St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the West Lawn Cemetery (1909 W Main St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
