She was predeceased by: her parents, Raleigh Edward and Donnie Mae Monds Ashley; her husband Horace Edward White; and her siblings, Carrie Hope Twine, Nellie Harrell and Roy Ashley.
She is survived by: her sons, Horace R. "Buddy" White of Hertford and Kenneth R. "Skin" White (Jennifer) of Hertford; her siblings, Faye Twine of Tyner, R. E. Ashley of Edenton and Gerald Ashley of Edenton; her grandchildren, Dr. Paul A. White (Christine) of Greenville, SC, Kenzie R. White of Hertford and Kristen Bassett of Raleigh; her great grandchild Ellie Bassett of Raleigh; her close friend Burfoot White of Hobbsville; and her brother-in-law Carlton B. White of Haines City, FL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hertford United Methodist Church (200 Dobbs St, Hertford, NC 27944).
