She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Sawyer and Claudia Curles Sawyer; her husband Jerome Howard Casper; and her sons, Ronnie Casper and Johnny Casper.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Byrum (Michael) of Hertford, NC; and her sister Hilda "Teenie" Mills of South Mills. She is also survived by five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
