He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Markham Jr. and Ruth Wood Markham-Betts (Oscar); and his brother Jerry Markham (Linda). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Raye Evans; his children, Rene, Kevin (Tanya), Ryan (Erin), Graysen, Sara, Michael, Melina, Sydney, Alex and Nathalie; his siblings, Susan (late Kent Goodwin) and Benji (Becky); and also, Raymond Evans (Sheila) and Kay (late Baxter Sawyer). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Homes & Crematory (1125 Harvey Point Rd, Hertford, NC 27944). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (600 W Ehringhaus St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery (1909 West Main Street Extension, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
