He is survived by: his wife Annie Turner Hinton; his children, Karen Hinton Williams (Garry) of Elizabeth City, NC, Pamela Hinton Johnson (Anthony) of Elizabeth City, NC and Ryan T. Hinton (Janelle) of Elizabeth City, NC; his brother Wendell Hinton (Mary) of Elizabeth City, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Turner (Monica) of Chesapeake, VA, Vernon Turner, Sr. (Robin) of Elizabeth City, NC and Gertrude Bonds of Elizabeth City, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
