She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Price and Sarah Morris Price; her husband Samuel Barnett, Jr.; and her siblings, Estella Price Boyd, Charlie Price, Sarah Price Jennings, John Henry Price, Rosetta Price Lewis, Willie Price, Robert Lee Price, Sr. and Madison Price.

She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Denise Barnett (Waymon) of Richmond, VA, Timothy Andrew Barnett and Mark Barnett (late Marion Deloatch Barnett); her grandson Brandon Barnett; and her sisters-in-law, Hermenia Mena Price, Ida Louise Barnett, Helen Barnett Gregory and Wilma Jean Morris Barnett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beach Funeral Home (310 E Grice St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Corner Stone Missionary Baptist Church (507 S M. L. K. Jr Dr, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Dove's Landing Cemetery (1609 Peartree Rd, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
