He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Mevlyn and Frances Elizabeth Singleton Wood; and his brother Paul Wood. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Dail Wood; his sons, Michael Wood of Elizabeth City and David Wood (Teresa) of Elizabeth City; his granddaughter Rachel Wood; and his great grandchildren, Marley Spence and Bentley Allen.
