He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Meck, Sr. and Virginia Worrell Meck; and his siblings, Elizabeth Barnard, Robert Meck and William Meck.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Alexander Meck; his sons, John H. Meck, III (Amy) and Michael A. Meck; his grandson John H. Meck, IV (Jack); and his sisters, Sharon O'Neal and Sheryl Hall.
