John Allen Gunter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Allen Gunter of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who passed away on February 8, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gunter and Ellen Raines Gunter; his son Jonathan Gunter; and his siblings, Tersea Leach and Robert Gunter.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Mangram Gunter; his children, Trieasha Dillard (Coby), Deidre, Wyekia, Shawntay, Alesha, Shamya, Chanice, Anansza, Taja, Ariana Gunter, Rajon (Mukisha), Jerek and Jermane Gunter; and his siblings, Luxie, Paul Gunter, Lovie Atkinson and Paulette Chatman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beach Funeral Home Chapel (310 E Grice St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
