It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joey Levone Gordon of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 42, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Pamela D. Gordon of Elizabeth City, NC; his daughters, Zoey Gordon, Kloey Gordon and Joei Gordon of Elizabeth City, NC; his parents, Deacon Terry and Gloria Gordon of Elizabeth City, NC; his brother Stacy Gordon (Ebony) of Newport News, VA; his grandmother Shirley Perry Wills of Hertford, NC; his aunts and uncles, Cynthia Wills of Elizabeth City, NC, Faye Yancey of Hertford, NC, Josie Wills Harris (Allan) of Elizabeth City, NC, Waverly Gordon Jr. of Elizabeth City, NC, Jerry Gordon of Greenville, NC and James Wood of Richmond, VA; his siblings-in-law, Nikia Jones of Richmond, VA, Alwyn Jones Jr., James Jones, Ellington Jones and Breyount Jones of Richmond, VA; his nieces and nephews, Jacey Gordon, Ja'Myah Jones, Ja'Kia Jones, Kahnyia Jones, Keimyia Jones, Emoni Jones, Jordan Kittrell, Jayden Jones and Jayceon Jones; his godchildren, Dallas Harper, Ahlani, Kylan Leach and Jordan Williams; his friends, Cedric Leach, Jonathan Mitchell, Joe Shaw and Steven White; and his pet Jo-Jo. He is also survived by great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grace and Truth Community Church (1300 Walker Ave, Elizabeth City, NC 27909). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
