With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hubert Griffin Sr. of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 13, 2024 at the age of 95. He is survived by: his daughter Edith Griffin Edwards; his grandchildren, Sanje Ballard (Jermorrow), Mohammad Griffin (Kanika), Amin Griffin, Khaliah Williams (Michael), Kinta Griffin (Nina), Jerrod Edwards (Brandy) and Trekina Blanks (Oscar); his siblings, Arbon Griffin (Helen), Lillian Edison and Rosa Kidd (Larry); his brother-in-law Javon Brothers (Clara); and his niece Angela Bailey (Douglas). He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Viewing will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Grace and Truth Community Church (1300 Walker Ave, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
