In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Herbert had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Herbert may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas Jordan and Vanola Hobbs Jordan; and his brothers, George M. Jordan and Garry W. Jordan. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Jordan Hall McRoy of Greenville, NC; and his sister-in-law Brenda Morgan Jordan of Edenton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with his many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Twiford Funeral Homes (405 E Church St, Elizabeth City, NC 27907). Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to American Legion Post 84, P.O. Box 1071, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
