It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gina Layden Berry of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who passed away on December 7, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Davis R. Layden and Lottie Frances Stallings Layden; her husband Freddie Wilson Berry, Sr.; her brother Gary Layden; her niece Ashley Jones; and her sister Ursula Layden.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Misty Wooten (Nick) and Freddie Wilson Berry, Jr.; her brothers, James Keith Layden and Michael Guy Layden (Pennie); her grandchildren, Gracie, Payton Wooten, Dylan and Kayleigh Berry; and her nieces and nephews, Tammy Lynn T. Holland (Jimmy), Rebecca Ann Layden (McKiney), Korri Michelle L. Hardiman (CJ), Nikki I. Layden, Mark V. Trueblood and Jame Blake Layden (Alexis). She is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
