David Wayne Dowdy Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Wayne Dowdy of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Melvin Dowdy and Leonara Pickett Dowdy; and his brother Melvin L. Dowdy. He is survived by: his wife Ramona "Mona" Dozier Dowdy; his sister Jo Ann Herring of Elizabeth City, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Peggy Long (Tim) of Hertford, NC and Ann Stallings (Danny) of Hertford, NC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church, 700 N. Road Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
