He was predeceased by: his father Frank W. Gibson; his sister Kitty Gibson Powell; his father-in-law Ronald Saunders; and his niece Amanda Castleman. He is survived by: his mother Helen Dunlap Gibson; his wife Kimberly "Kim" Saunders Gibson; his son Ryan Gibson (Ivy); his grandchild Meredith; his mother-in-law Sylvia Saunders; his sister-in-law Terri Moore (Kevin); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alston and Liza; and also Ashley Dailey (Adam).

Memorial donations may be made in Charlie's memory to a charity of one's choice.
