It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Thompson Best of Efland, North Carolina, who passed away on July 28, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Thompson and Jessie Thompson; her siblings, Helen Warren and George William Thompson; her children, Charles "Michael" Best, Betsy Ann Best and Carlton "Bo" Best; and the father of her children Charles Mercer Best.
She is survived by: her daughter Sarah Best Gibson; her son-in-law Frank Gibson; her grandchildren, Tyler Gibson (Katie Stasser) and Lindsey Gibson (Matthew Parks); and her great grandchild Jackson Parks.
