It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Jones Ward of Efland, North Carolina, born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harge and Mary Terrell Jones; her husband John Ira Ward Jr.; and her siblings, Mae Hunter, Irene Staley, Otis Jones, Woodrow Jones, Vance Jones and Robert Jones.
She is survived by: her children, John Ira Ward III (Mary Ann), Peggy Majors, Donna Francis (David) and Sandra Hannon (John); her grandchildren, Benny, Ward, Sarah, Heather, Mary and Matthew; and her great grandchild Addy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AuthoraCare Hospice of Burlington or the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery fund.
