She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Lee Wooten and Lillian Ward Wooten; her husband Edward Eli Matney; her sisters, Anagene Wooten Gibbs and Kathleen Wooten Marcum (Kat); her sons, Marc and David (Anne); and her grandchildren, Rachel, Paul, Sara and Lillian. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
