She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Phillip Barton Key Scales and Evelyn Cornelia Fairley; her husband Edward L. Ward; her children, Lynn W. Pollock, Edward L. Ward (Barbara) and Kitty Davis (Michael); her son-in-law Hoke D. Pollock, MD; and her grandchildren, Wendy Davis, Molly Clark, Hoke W. Pollock, Fairley Patton, McLean Kram, Corbett Davis and Catherine Potter.
