With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Warren Smith of Edenton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 26, 2024 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Warren Smith to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred A. Smith and Nina Heck Smith; his siblings, Royce Smith and Betty Smith MacIsaac; his son Michael Smith; and his granddaughter Lauren Messinger.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wheatley Smith of Dover; his children, Art Smith (Marsha) of McGregor, MN and Beth Messinger (Michael) of Spring Branch, TX; and his grandchildren, Drew, Corey, Brad Smith, Carrie Guy, Stephanie Bariatti and Alexandra Mainord.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Torbert Funeral Chapel (1145 E Lebanon Rd, Dover, DE 19904). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 102 E Laurel St, Georgetown, DE 19947 or Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
