He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen H., Sr. and Pauline Ambrose Long; and his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Blanchard, Ramona Mizelle and Delores Long.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Day Long; his sons, Michael Long (Geneva) of Wilmington and Gary Long (Shirley) of Brevard; his stepson Greg White of Nags Head; and his sister Ann Matuszewski of Gloucester, VA.
