He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Belangia and Mae Byrum White; his wife Maribelle Smith Belangia; his children, Tammy Belangia Woodley (Woody) of Edenton and Odell Spencer Belangia, Jr. of Edenton; his grandchildren, Brandon Woodley of Wilson and Courtney Woodley of Edenton; and his sister Clara Belangia of Edenton.
