He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Leroy Watson, Sr. and Margaret Mills Forest; his daughter Charity Dawn Watson; and his stepmother Eula Watson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Smith Watson; his sons, Michael Watson (Ruth) of Knoxville, TN and Steven Watson (Jamie) of Panama City, FL; his siblings, Delores Bennett (Larry) of Cummings, GA and Kenny Watson (Andrea) of Edenton; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey and Robin.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Chowan County Animal Shelter, 138 Icaria Road, Tyner, NC 27980.
