Though Norma may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Ernest and Pearl May Mason Hall; her husband Kenneth Gene Peters, Sr.; and her brothers, Donald and Russell Melohn.
She is survived by: her children, Anne Battle of Newport News, VA, Laurie Tuman (Wesley) of Elizabeth City, Rebecca Clarke (Aaron) of Fuquay-Varina and Kenneth G. "Kip" Peters, Jr. (Jodi) of Newton, IA. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She sewed hundreds of blankets and walker aprons as gifts to nursing home residents, and she made countless masks to donate during COVID.
