She was predeceased by: her father Fate Forehand; her husband George Edward Nixon, Sr.; her siblings, Louise Lane Boone, Marie Owens Anderson, Margaret Cansler, Ray, Joe and Lloyd Forehand; and her daughter-in-law Susan Nixon.
She is survived by: her children, Sherri Armstrong (Danny) of Hertford, Terry Nixon (Carolyn) of Edenton, George Nixon, Jr. of Edenton and Kermit Nixon (Kristi) of Edenton; her brother Roy Forehand (Ann) of Edenton; her grandchildren, Kristi Nixon, Eric Nixon (Sharon), Kasey Harward (Josh), Kanon Nixon, Ian Armstrong (Megan), Daniel Armstrong and Olivia Bateman; her great grandchildren, Hannah Parsons, Miley Nixon, Aiden Nixon, Johnathon Wilson (Kendra), Austin, Landon, Sydney Harward, Bentley Suis, Maxton Armstrong, Julian Harrell and Nova Bateman; and her great great grandchildren, Paisley and Parker Wilson.
