She was predeceased by: her parents, Haywood Thomas "Tommy" Hollowell, Sr. and Helen Eason Hollowell; and her husband Thomas Wayne "Tommy" Leary. She is survived by: her sons, Tony Stillman Leary of Edenton and Terry Wayne Leary (Lisa) of Edenton; her siblings, Judy Phthisic of Belvidere, James Hollowell of Florence, SC and H. T. Hollowell, Jr. of Raleigh; her grandchildren, T. J. Leary of Chesapeake, Lindsey Lindsay (Nick) of Black Mountain, Tyler Leary (Emily) of Edenton and Elizabeth Jordan (Heath) of Hobbsville; and her great grandchildren, Tripp Leary, Grayson Leary, Clara Gray Jordan and Charlotte Jordan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rocky Hock Baptist Church (113 Rocky Hock Ch Rd, Edenton, NC 27932). A reception was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home and Crematory (735 Virginia Rd, Edenton, NC 27932).
