She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben, Sr. Bailey and Viola Whitehurst Bailey; her husband Frank G. Halsey, Sr.; her grandson Steven Craig Halsey; and her siblings, Alice Ruth Holliday, Carolyn Hardison, Reuben, Jr. and George Bailey.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. Frank G. Halsey, Jr. (Sharon) of Jamesville, Craig Bailey Halsey (Melissa) of Edenton and Laurie Halsey Simmons (Mac) of Edenton; her siblings, Hattie Stocks of Tarboro and Boyd Franklin Bailey of Clearwater, FL.; her grandchildren, David Halsey (Jennifer), Jonathan Halsey, Tabitha Halsey VanderAa (Arthur III), Bradley Halsey (Megan), Stefanie Halsey Rueffer (Nick), Seth Simmons and Sean Simmons; and her granddaughter-in-law Catherine Ray Nolen. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
