She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Clifton Shelby and Eulalia Wetmore Joo; her brother Kenneth Shelby; and her stepfather Frank Joo of Niles, Michigan.. She is survived by: her husband John Charron of Edenton; and her pets, Murphy, Cooper and Charlie.
