We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2023, at the age of 87, George Ellis Jones of Edenton, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl and Ora Brown Jones; and his sisters, Doris Jean Saunders and Audrey Nixon. He is survived by: his wife Reta Smith Jones; his sons, Mike Jones (Angela) of Edenton, Greg Jones (Sherri) of Henderson and Lyn Jones of Edenton; his grandchildren, Brandon Jones (Katihuska), Kristen Jones, Kirsten Taylor (Zachary), Lisa Jones and Mark Jones (Lindsey); and his great grandchildren, Joshua Taylor and Magnolia Jones.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, P.O. Box 18, Edenton, NC 27932.
