He was predeceased by: his parents, Mose Daniel and Margaret Frye Dalton; his son-in-law David Seal; and his siblings, Fannie Songer, Michael and Terry Dalton.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Stallings Dalton; his children, Daniel E. "Boone" Dalton, Jr. (Nicki) of Suffolk, VA and Jessica Dalton Seal of Raleigh; his siblings, Loretta McKillip of Platteville, WI, Flo Hetherington of Christiansburg, VA and Charles Dalton of Staffordsville, VA; and his granddaughters, Lindsay Jones (Matt) and Hannah Dalton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
