He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Paul Griffin; his grandparents, Frank, Eunice Jones, Asa and Grace Griffin; his great-niece Faith Griffin; and also, Leonard M. Sr., Bertha S. Gower and Len Gower.
He is survived by: his parent-in-law Meri Beth Gower Griffin; his brother David Neal Griffin of Edenton; his grandchildren, Clara Grace and O. B. Sawyer; his nephews, Brandon N. Griffin (Jamie) of Edenton and Colby N. Griffin of Greenville; his great-niece Madison S. Griffin; his great-nephew Mason N. Griffin of Edenton; his pet Willow; his sister-in-law Mona Griffin; his siblings, Melanie Woolard (Ted) and Stanley W. Gower (Rochelle) of Virginia; his nephew Ben E. Woolard of Colorado; his nieces, Amanda Jones (Eric) of Virginia, Brittany Taylor (Corey) of Virginia, Sydney L. Gower of Virginia and Shelby M. Gower of Virginia; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kennedy, Gabriel Jones, Macon and Emilia Taylor; and also, Ariel Griffin Sawyer (Owen) of Edenton and Asa Brent Griffin of Charlotte.
