He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, C. H. Davis and Helen Blanchard Davis; his wife Mary Bass Davis; his children, Pam Davis Miller of Edenton and Bernard Scott Davis (Wendy) of Roper; his siblings, Eleanor Rochelle Broyles (Don) of Elizabeth City and Charles M. Davis (Nell) of Tyner; his grandchildren, Michaela Davenport (Hunter), Chanin Davis (Summer) and Courtney Gerth (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Callie Miller and Chloe Gerth.
