She was predeceased by: her parents, Maggie Bell Hall Overton and Oscar A. Overton, Sr.; and her siblings, Laurence Overton, Sr., Bernard A. Overton, Sr., Melvin L. Overton and Vivian Overton Mayo.

She is survived by: her husband Howard Rose, Sr.; her brother Oscar Overton, Jr.; her stepchildren, Leslie Rose and Howard Rose, Jr.; her sisters-in-law, Mary, Irene and Dorothy Overton; and her grandchildren, Noah, Caleb and Nicole. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other loving relatives and friends.
