He was predeceased by: his parents, William O. Stone, Sr. and Lucille Kinard Stone; and his sister Jean Gayle of Greenville. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Earles Stone of Eden; his children, Melanie Stone Acton (James) of Belmont and Marc Stone of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Lindsay Acton Zhao (Jing) of Fort Mill, Lauren Acton Leutz (Weston) of Euless, Texas and Erin Acton Green (Daniel) of Gainesville, Florida; and also, Wade Zhao, Luke Zhao of Fort Mill and Josie Leutz of Euless, Texas..
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Eden (533 Greenwood St, Eden, NC 27288). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Eden or Ancora Compassionate Care.
