He was predeceased by: his mother Kitty Elizabeth Hunt Fitzgerald; his sister Kathleen Beard; and his grandmother Catherine Hunt. He is survived by: his father Patrick Lloyd Fitzgerald, Sr. (Susan); his siblings, Christine Barfield (Nathan) and Charles Fitzgerald; his nephew Christopher Fitzgerald (Caitlin); his niece Maydee Chrisco; and his great-nieces, Kathryn and Addison Fitzgerald.
