It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Olan Wayne McCannon of Eden, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Olan shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Olan farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Guilford McCannon, Jr. and Addie Kathleen Bischer McCannon; and his brothers, Jimmy McCannon and Joe McCannon. He is survived by: his siblings, George McCannon (Brenda), Madge Patton, Sylvia Keaton (Patricia Crocker) and John McCannon; his sister-in-law Kaye McCannon; his nephew Josh McCannon; and his friends, Jimmy Deal and Joe Ensor.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the George Brothers Funeral Service (803 Greenhaven Dr, Greensboro, NC 27406). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
