She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin Cassell and Maggie Cassell; and her grandson Tony Barney III. She is survived by: her significant other Elmer Goins; her children, Ernest Wayne Curry (Wendy), Pamela Tickle, Ray Lewis (Pam) and James Poet Lewis Jr. (Sheila); her grandchildren, Robert Curry, Elizabeth Riffe (Jeffrey), Lauren Curry, E. Wayne Curry Jr., Crystal Blankenship (Roy), Brandi Sparks (Jacob), Amelia Nelson (Justin), Austin Lewis (Rebecca), Parker Lewis and Travis Lewis (Shanda); her great grandchildren, Liesl, Piper Riffe, Lucas Curry-Lopez, Lane, Wesley Blankenship, Kristian Barney, Levi, Leah Sparks, Addyson, Jeremiah, Jameson Nelson and Layne Lewis; her great great grandchild Raven Barney; her son-in-law Michael Tickle; and her caregivers, Keith and Jamie Owens. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fair Funeral Home (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In memory of Frances, donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice Care or the Cascade Volunteer Fire Department.
