She was predeceased by: her parents, John Allen Overby and Lena Mae Mills Overby; her husband Joe B. Vernon; and her son Frank M. Overby. She is survived by: her children, Susan Howell (Kenny), Lisa Overby (Bobby), Steve Overby (Patty), Tony Overby and Jerry Hale. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
