He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Holland Lowe and Charles P Jeffries; his stepfather Arthur L. Lowe; and his wife Ann Gilbert Jeffries. He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Jeffries (Tammy) of Eden, Sandra Schultz (Mike) of Greensboro and Gilbert Jeffries (Maureen) of Glen Rock, N. J.; his grandchildren, Sarah Ann Schultz, Tyler Gainey (Brian), Andrew Schultz (Janie), Spencer Jeffries and Nathaniel Jeffries; his sister Jeanette Bowling; and his niece Penny Hopkins. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be given to Osborne Baptist Church, Immanuel Friends Church, Ancora Compassionate Care of Rockingham County or Aging, Disability, and Transit Services.
