Joy Yeatts Meeks Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Yeatts Meeks of Eden, North Carolina, who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Yeatts and Thelma Yeatts of Eden, NC.; her husband Jerry Meeks; her son Eric Woods; and her grandson Jacob Woods.
She is survived by: her son Matthew Woods; her daughters-in-law, Nivine Woods (Stephen Woods) of St. Louis, MO and Marsha Woods; her grandchildren, Colton Woods, Jovie Woods, Nicholas Woods, Rowan Woods and Jace Woods; her sisters, Doris Davis and Frances Conklin; and her caregiver Anita Carrol. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fair Funeral Home (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Immanuel Friends Church (502 S Fieldcrest Rd, Eden, NC 27288).
