He was predeceased by: his parents, Harden Hairston, Sr. and Louise E. Hairston; his son Jasper Hairston; and his siblings, Dorothy Lane, Pauline Riley, Isabelle Williamson, Della Mae Pinnix, Harden Hairston, Jr., Clarence Hairston and Ralph Hairston.
He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Poe (William) of Alexandria, VA and James Hairston (Elaine) of Rapid City; his niece Teresa Hairston of Eden, NC.; his great-niece Temika Wilson of Greensboro, NC; and his close friends, Joe Singletary, Tommy Hairston and Matt Dorsey. He is also survived by nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews, family and friends.
