He was predeceased by: his mother Cornelia Tanis; his wife Dora Duvall of New Orleans, Louisiana.; his sister Margaret Topp; and his daughter-in-law Cathy Acevedo. He is survived by: his father Frank B. Garnier; his children, Philip Garnier of Raleigh, Frank Garnier, Jr. (Joseph Lipscomb) of Lincolnville, Andrew Garnier (Kathy) of Raleigh and Leslie Crooker (Tyler) of Greensboro; and his grandchildren, Matthew Garnier (Giovanna), Patrick Garnier, Jacob Garnier, Cristian Garnier, Stella Crooker and Kevin Crooker (Case).
